Remarks: What happens when Singapore goes to war? The Soldier takes place in such an imaginary scenario, when a soldier fights on with grit and determination against the enemy, despite being straddled alone in the wilderness. This short film seeks to invoke emotions from an exploration on a possibility of Singapore at war, where a deserted and war-torn HDB town replaces the clean and bustling one we are familiar with. The film is a tribute to all National Service men, who are the Sons of Singapura.
In an event when there is a war, what we hold dear now may no longer exist then.
Hence, it is essential that every sons of Singapura serve their National Service well and to defend their nation when called to duty. The Sons of Singapura maybe the familiar faces of our everyday life, yet they are also the ones who have been defending this country since National Service was introduced in 1967.

They deserve our recognition, respect and this film as a tribute.
